And yes - while it is easy to avoid these issues, the cops are not suppose to be the criminals and they need to be held to that higher standard. Not A higher standard, just a standard above criminal. IMHO.

So nobody get's arrested until after they are tried and found guilty? Is that how it's supposed to work? It doesn't show what led up to the takedown. Perhaps the officers had already seen him endanger or harm others and that's what caused the chase.

If you are innocent, then just comply and you'll have your chance to speak. Run, argue, fight about it and the results will always be the same...you will be forcibly detained. The officers have to worry about the public's safety, their own safety and even the safety of the suspect. But that doesn't mean they have to treat people like delicate flowers either.

You missed my point.

So many of you start spewing the "innocent until proven guilty" when it comes to a woman making a sexual assault claim. But here, with a black man, he is automatically guilty who deserve what he gets.

And I am sorry but forcibly detained is not the same as being hit with a car. Just sayin'
