Some better insurance companies do cover this type of incident...I use Chubb and they covered a flooded basement in the most superb manner I have ever seen from an insurance company. They are not as "cheap" as some companies, but Chubb was there when I needed them, in a big way. I have stayed with them twenty years now because of it. Good luck with your claim, Baz.

With regard to insurance coverage, you might be in trouble, Baz. Especially if the insurer considers the damage to be caused by "an act of God."
As a believer you may have to acquiesce to the punishment theory. But trust me on this, it's got nothing to do with your visit to the massage parlour.

And I hope you, a 1 player and all other flooding victims experience speedy cleanup with appropriate insurance compensation.

I do have sewage back up but the Broker wasn't sure if this is the case. I'm expecting an adjuster to come by sometime this week to assess the damage and yes it was a study, rec room/theater room, bathroom and laundry room. A combination of ceramic and laminate so you could imagine the state of the laminate at this point not to mention the furniture. I am with State Farm, hopefully they decide to go in my favor.
