Yeah, I always laugh a good belly laugh when I read some dumbass's posts online complaining that they were either publicly outed, or discovered cheating by their SO because either a client or a provider wasn't trustworthy enough to maintain discretion.

The disastrous fallout that results, when individual lives, careers, marriages/relationships and families are destroyed always has me in stitches. That shit is just hilarious! Not. :Na-don'think-so:

Providers who think they can trust clients or other providers are just as ignorant and naive as clients who believe they are special to their providers, or that they can be trusted with their personal information.

I have no sympathy for anyone that fools themselves into thinking fantasy is reality, or that they can trust others whose paths they may cross while hobbying. They deserve exactly what they get for being so stupid.-end quote)



what about true industry insight? you're sounding rather disgruntled. Industry let you down, or is it only you that's allowed to complain about or mention ner do wells or unpleasant incidents that occur in the biz?

I've been deeply involved in this industry from many sides for more than 30 years, and have pretty much seen it all. Given that my wife has always joined me in industry activities and interests, I've never run the same risks as many others who partake, nor can I say I've ever personally been victimized in the manner of which I spoke about earlier above.

I have no reason to be disgruntled or contemptuous towards the industry whatsoever. But I am a realist, and what is clear to anyone with a brain who plays around in this industry for any amount of time is that on the whole, it remains a very dangerous domain for anyone who has something to lose. Best practice for both providers and clients is to protect oneself at all times, and trust no one. Note: I'm not saying don't be friendly or courteous, but rather maintain a healthy appreciation for the real risks involved.

While it's only a hobby, when hobby activities do go wrong they can have catastrophic results. There are some right here on this board that I could name who would attest to that fact. Unsuspecting, trusting individuals who's trust was betrayed, putting their real lives in very serious danger when they least expected it. Why, not so long ago, some very prime examples of betrayal and folly were played out here, and across multiple boards for all to see.

You can do what you want, it's your life, but with your cavalier attitude towards the risks and consequences involved in this hobby, I'd certainly think twice before I booked you. But that's just me. Disgruntled and contemptuous to the last.

I agree with Louis' points in bold. Although I'm a a single man with no SO to consider, there was a time and when caught, it was disastrous. I can't emphasize enough of the crossing of a line when it comes to having an ongoing, off the clock relationship with a working girl. Personal info and involvement is shared and it's sure to be disastrous in the end. There are rare times it will work but chances are extremely slim; I have yet to experience this rarity and continue with the drama, but that will stop as well.
