For years now I have been, (as many people are), working their asses to the bone to get a bigger house, nicer car, new furniture...
I have come to a few realizations in my life...
My house is too big for just me (and the kids half the time). Time to downsize.
My car gets me from point A to B without issue. No need for monthly payments on a new car.
I have more fun at a park with a picnic (in the summer), that spending $200+ on a meal, (though occasionally it is nice)
There are great wines for around the $15 range
More often than not I prefer being lost in a forest than lying on a resort
A walk through the neighbourhood feels better than an hour on the treadmill
99 percent of the time I don't need the 5 burner BBQ, I prefer the 80 square inch charcoal grill
Time to simplify and downsize.
