I gotta lose some weight.

Feeling fat and shitty, gotta get back to the fit me. Bosco, I'm counting on you for some motivation here.

Jan. 22, 2012 weigh in. 248 lbs.

You fat fucker, is your back hairy too?

kidding aside, I stepped on the scale last week and I almost passed out.

I'm 6ft.1 and weight 210. Try eliminating some of your carb intake, eat about 6 smaller meals a day and add in a little exercise and you will be amazed how fast you shed a bit of weight.

Wow...perhaps go on a spinner bike on a daily basis. When spring arrives, you should consider cycling to and from work if its possible.
Maurice did recently send out an article regarding how to lose weight realistically.
Personally from my experience, I encourage you shed the pounds slowly or else they will return with a vengenance. Make it a 6 to 12 months goal. I have seen people who have lost 30 lbs in one or 2 months only to gain them all back.
Good luck...

Good luck A 1. Would it provide any motivation if you were to "weigh in" and post your weight each Monday?

Read it. It's a very easy read and she hits the nail right on the head.

Don't count calories make calories count.

Since the advent of agriculture about 10,000 years ago we as a species have been getting fatter.

This is primarily because of the mass production of cereal grains. And later in last 100 years or so the introduction of sugar.

We are meant to be hunter gathers. If one sticks to this diet then they tend to be very lean.

Jonny Bowden explains things very simply in his books. I highly recommend anything that he has out.

Player it's time to get on this now. Before time prematurely runs out on you.

Oh and don't buy the eat less and exercise more dogma. That's a recipe for disaster in the long run.

That's a misinterpretation of the first law of thermal dynamics. Energy in does not equal energy out in the human body.

There you go...Maurice just gave you the article. Speaking of articles, read this one: https://www.torontosun.com/2012/01/22/baldwin-drops-30-lbs-in-four-months

Uhmmm will he regain it or maintain a healthier lifestlye with regards to food,,,

Good article Peace. Seems he cut out sugar and added Pilates and Yoga.

From a personal point of view I have been doing a lot of stretching and yoga lately.

Now ten years ago I would have rather worn a dress than do Yoga.

But I have to admit I was wrong and it's a great deal harder than I thought.

Here's debate between 4 people on the obesity situation which has become almost epidemic since around 1980.

MB, you should sit down and write a book yourself! I'd buy it providing you sign the cover.

A1, yes take care of it now. You never know when that blood pumping muscle might pack it in if you don't.

A1 I recall one of your prior post mentioning you were a boxer or into boxing I can't remember. Boxing is a great way to get into shape. Start slowly and bring it back to basics and start training as if you were boxing again plus watch your diet.

I agree with MB, it not how much you eat it really is what your eat. Look at food as fuel and use only good quality high octane fuel to help with your training.

Jeez A-1 are you my twin brother? I'm 5'11" and 265.
I'll confess that I really should weigh no more than 225 which I did when I was at my peak of fitness.
