G8, G20 summit costs climb, surpass $1 billion

The federal government is spending another $160 million for the G8 and G20 summits, above and beyond the $933 million for policing the giant events. That now raises the price tag to $1.1 billion -- and further costs are likely.

It is so idiotic :evil:, how many homeless hungry children can you feed with that money.

What is the breakdown where the money is going?. RCMP?, Army? are they hiring private firms?.
