Petraeus' biographer Paula Broadwell under FBI investigation over access to his email, law enforcement officials say - U.S. News

This girl was all over the news a few months ago when she wrote a biography about him. She even appeared on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The interview she gave back then sort of set off alarm bells in my head, thinking something must be going on between those two (i.e. Petraeus & Broadwell), and I was right! It had something to do with her saying that she went jogging with Petraeus every morning while in Kandahar.

She looks pretty fit and quite hot in an understated kind of way. I gotta say if you gotta end your illustrious career on one mistake, she's the mistake I'd make too. :good::biggrin2:

I wonder if we're going to see any Playboy spreads about her? Oh well, until then, we'll have to make due with PG-rated stuff:

CHEATED WITH THIS WOMAN PAULA BROADWELL!

IF YOU SAW ANY PHOTOS OF HIS WIFE, YOU CAN'T REALLY BLAME HIM.

You bastid! You must have posted the same time as I did.

Again, if you saw the pictures of his wife, you wouldn't blame him for banging the hot chick! His career and credibility are shot though.

When I saw the hot chick on The Daily Show, I was thinking of having an affair with her, so I'm sure The General must've thought the same.

I'm almost afraid to ask, what does his wife look like?

Mods merge these threads. Can't remember which handle said that we have no lives. Wait it was Jude or Candyman :Crying2:

Google Holly Knowlton or picture a Sunday school teacher

Oh well, she looks about what a lady of her age should look like. I was imagining cackling witch after the warning. :LMAO:

I can't blame him for banging the author, she's hot and a 9.

I also think it's unfair to expect officials to not have personal lives provided they do not discuss matters of security!

It shouldn't be the public's business what anyone does behind closed doors!

Actually in this case, that seems to be exactly what happened. He not only discussed matters of security, he apparently gave her access to his laptop. That's what the FBI is now investigating whether Mrs. Broadwell read secret emails, etc. from his laptop.

Some new developments in this case. It's now looking like Paula Broadwell is now more of the jilted rabbit-killing lover than the mistress. Holly Petraeus is now just an innocent bystander. According to the latest report, Broadwell was sending threatening emails to a third woman who worked for the General, which would indicate that the General had moved on to a newer lover.

The abrupt resignation of CIA director David Petraeus may have brought about by threatening e-mails that a woman “close to him” received, according to a report from the Washington Post Saturday afternoon.

Initial reports suggested that the FBI was concerned about a security breach involving Mr. Petraeus’s emails, but three anonymous senior law enforcement officials told the newspaper that a woman had sent the e-mails, and that the recipient was so frightened, she approached the Federal Bureau of Investigation for protection and help tracking the sender.

The threats were traced to Paula Broadwell, co-author of a biography on Mr. Petraeus. The sexual nature of the e-mails led investigators to conclude the Mr. Petraeus and Ms. Broadwell were having an affair and that Ms. Broadwell perceived the other woman as a threat to her relationship with Mr. Petraeus.

The identity of the female recipient of the e-mails is unknown.

Wow, the General gets around! Women love men with power and this proves it.

If he hasn't compromised national security I say give him a medal and his job back!:YMAPPLAUSE:

Former CIA Director General David Petraeus has hired a top Washington lawyer to help him navigate the fallout from a career-ending affair, Reuters has confirmed.

The lawyer, Robert Barnett of Williams & Connolly, is known for negotiating book deals for the political elite, from President Barack Obama to one-time vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Barnett will help Petraeus as he exits government, Reuters confirmed. The news was first reported by Politico, which said that no book is planned.

The Central Intelligence Agency, the Justice Department and Congress are investigating Petraeus' conduct over the extra-marital affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.
The former four-star general has said his resignation was solely because of the affair and that he did not give classified information to Broadwell.

Barnett has been a partner at Williams & Connolly in Washington for 34 years, according to a biography of him posted on the firm's website. In that time, he has built an unconventional practice representing best-selling authors, political leaders, television news correspondents and other high-profile clients.

In addition to Obama and Palin, other authors he has represented include novelist Mary Higgins Clark and entertainer Barbra Streisand.

He has also helped former government officials from across the political spectrum navigate their return to private life, including former U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, former secretary of state Madeleine Albright, and former members of Congress.

He joined Williams & Connolly in 1975 and became a partner in 1978.

Yeah, obviously not, since getting a book done was how all of this mess started in the first place. ;-)

Really who gives a flllllinnnggg friggin sh....t! There are more pressing matters out there and I think the media is a joke at times. Everyone has a "secret" and yet they make themselves as holy god fearing people. This kinds of remind me of Bazerko. He lurks around here while condeming many members here. Yawnnnnnnn...

Ps. I would fuck her too.

I just hope there are no pictures of the General or his spouse! He must have been a real loser when he met her!
