I did a search for wussdar, and there were no matches, so it seems that way. I would like to think that I was at least partially responsible, indirectly, but that's just wishful thinking.

Someone may have been offended by my suggestion that you could possibly be a nice guy, in real life. Maybe Comic Sans had a beef. We'll be the first to never know.

It would seem so.

Feel free to report your own thread to us and include that you would like the thread deleted. You can also PM any of the mods or email us at [email protected] to notify us of any issue.

I think you're probably right.

Sarah, it's just now occurred to me that I'm most often misunderstood by people who have never studied logic, and have forgotten Venn diagrams. I construct sentences mathematically, often to imply, but not outwardly state something.

For example, I could say "most cops have less than 3% ape DNA", and many people would read that, and believe that I had said that 'all cops are apes', When, in fact, I have only implied that one or more cops has ape DNA. If only one cop had ape DNA, the statement "most cops have less than 3% ape DNA" would be logically true.

Many people don't understand that when the premise is false, the conclusion is always true, even if the result seems nonsensical, such as 'If the Earth was rotated 180 degrees, like an image in MS Paint, so the sun rose in the West, and we were south of the equator, thus changing all the wind patterns and water currents, Alberta would become a desert, and grass would grow in the Sahara again, eventually. Logically, that statement is true, because it cannot be proven to be false. That's the basis of the presumption of innocence in law, because the primary basis of the legal system is to ensure that no one is falsely convicted.

If someone reads some of my posts quickly, for the gist, they will misunderstand them, most of the time. The same sort of misunderstanding will occur if the reader arbitrarily decides my intent, based on their emotional reaction to 'what they felt I meant', as opposed to what was explicitly stated. I do this intentionally, and it's one of the reasons I use very precise formatting of text, but never use emoticons, other than the occasional ASCII or Unicode smilie, like this:

ٺ
The Arabic letter Tteheh, which I hope is pronounced "Tee hee hee", or

ټ
To indicate that someone is deviant, or

If I post "facts" later found to be inaccurate.

Out of curiosity, I looked up a couple of college friends on Linked In, people I haven't seen in over 30 years. One of them is still in Montreal. In college, on the 1-10 scale, (and that's Montreal scale, not Toronto), she was probably a 22. Even with age, I would think she's probably still a 13 - 13.5. She had the kind of figure that women appreciate more than men; about 5'5" tall, small B cup, slim, small tight buns, what you would call a "dancer's body", not like an 'enhanced' exotic dancer body, but a body kept fit by things like skipping rope in youth, and being active on a dance floor, or skiing, rather than going to a gym. She was about 17-18 when I knew her, and in my opinion, her face probably looked identical to that of Raquel Welch, at the same age. She receives several bonus points for her logical thinking.

I didn't like telling jokes around her, because she was one of the few people who interpreted the joke as being a challenge, as if it was an equation to 'solve for X', within a time limit, like McGuyver. She tried to figure out what the punch line was going to be before the joke ended, and a few times, she said the last few words of the punch line at the same time that I did.

The other one is now in Toronto, and I'll be in touch with her, eventually. She was hot, too, not as pretty, of course, but with a figure more appealing to me. She had the kind of face that would age well, too, and she took excellent care of her skin at an early age. She understood me, much better than most. She looked a bit like Taylor Swift facially, but with a better nose. One of those women who wears/ wore comfortable baggy sweaters to downplay her upper body, but tight jeans to show off her legs, and lots of different scarves for neck accessories.

We seldom see threads disappear, around here.
Especially those that are more than a day old.

It does happen but not often.

I love it!

The lawyer that is defending him was at a conference for defense attorneys last week in which she gave a key note address. She started off by cracking a joke.

“As criminal lawyers we represent people who have committed heinous acts. Acts of violence. Acts of depravity. Acts of cruelty. Or as Jian Ghomeshi likes to call it, foreplay.”

A week later she gets assigned his case. :biggrin2:

That one sounds like a Weekend Update joke from Saturday Night Live, and could possibly has been one, originally, but in reference to someone else, possibly Marv Albert. Johnny Carson might have said something like that, too.

I just hope the lawyer was not being deadly serious. It would be very arrogant to present a defense case, based on that as the motivating factor, and expect even one jury member to buy it.

I think CardinalFang had the thread pulled, because I insinuate that he's gay, based entirely on the Sheldon avatar, and that hugging thing, of his.

Hell

That is just a photo.

I bet you can find better reasons to think he is gay

I think 'bi' is more accurate. He swings both ways - I've even read fictional accounts of his exploits with women.

Did you notice how interchangeable the terms, "the Ladies" and the Alter Boys" are in his stories?

I'm going to stop participating in this hijack now before it spirals out of control.

Sarah and I are very sorry we almost derailed you thread.

I'd just like to point out that it really is bobistheowl's fault. He started it.

Everything is always my fault, because it's convenient.

It might also have something to do with when I google "Cardinal Fag"; the results say "There are no matches. Did you mean Cardinal Fang?

It's all in the avatars, Sarah, like you letting us all know that you're full bush, north and south.

You are correct

And who cares that Fang might bend with the direction the wind blows.
