Well, it's easy to be a model-type member here, the mods here aren't anal.

There, I got banned for posting an article about a former MA who suffered a tragedy in her life, i.e. her husband and kid were killed in a Christmas Eve car accident. I figured her former long-term clients, might have wanted to know about it, since she was a part of their lives for so long too. They banned me for "identifying a member". The irony is that she was never ever a member of that board, nor any other board, because she was a bit techno-phobic.

If I was a mod I would have deleted it and given a warning. Don't out anyone in the industry, please.

to the OP.... You don't seem to understand the seriousness of what you have done, I do hope you think twice before doing that again. It was inappropriate indeed, to post her personal tragedy on a site of this nature, but also the personal information that was included. There are freaks out there too don't forget, that's why we have fake names in the first place.

Actually it wasn't the OP who did that, that was my story. The article didn't actually have her full name in it, just her first name, which is the name she used in her career too, so I did try to make sure that I chose an article that wouldn't put too much information about her out. It didn't give her address or last name. I understood that there might be freaks out there to avoid, so I weighed that against the number of long-term clients she had.

This girl was highly unusual in that she operated with only long-term clients, she would only take new clients based on the recommendation of previous clients, and most of her clients were long-term. She knew a lot of our real names, just as we knew her real name, as well as our personal stories. She didn't know our real names because of some extensive background security check she had done prior to accepting us as clients, but because we were all just comfortable with her and eventually most of us just said, "what the hell I've known her a long time, why keep hiding my name"? There were plenty of us who had known her for 10+ years. This was not a very typical SP-client casual relationship as you can see, it was closer to a neighbour-type relationship. In fact, I knew her better than most of my neighbours.

It was a terrible tragedy, highly unusual, not something anybody ever expects. Usually when someone retires, we have an expectation that they will live a peaceful life (i.e. "happily ever after") in their new life, but when precisely the opposite happens it requires some sort of outpouring of support. After the article was posted, and before it was taken down, some former clients left flowers at her husband and baby's funeral.

That's better since her last name wasn't used and you left out details. To let others know of the tragedy I would have simply said said her working name and perhaps that she's going through personal grief in her life. No mention of an accident or the relationship of the victims.
Banning seems heavyhanded though, they aren't consistent over there.
