Hack Of Cupid Media Dating Site Exposes 42 Million Unencrypted Passwords

After reading this a question I have for you all. Who safe is your passwords not just on this site but your banking etc...

Even more troubling is that many Cupid Media users didn’t think out of the box when they created those passwords — more than 1.9 million accounts used the passcode 123456. Another 1.2 million went for the always creative 111111.

Which of course brings to mind this old joke:

During a recent password audit at our company, it was found that a blonde receptionist was using the following password: MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento

When asked why she had such a long password, she said she'd been told that it had to be at least 8 characters long and include at least one capital!
