I'm sitting here in my favorite downtown Starbucks during my lunch hour and just thinking back to my dismay and anger back in May when I found out my ex was having an affair, actually several affairs. Since that month of disappointments my life believe it or not has changed for the better and I've enjoyed life so much more; the freedom, my career taking off again etc.....

I'm new at this "freedom" thingy and I would love to hear from some of you the pit falls and dangers I may encounter. I would love to also hear from the ladies, being women your pearls of wisdom are very useful especially when it comes to dealing with men!

I really don't have in my circle of friends besides Melanie people I can share ideas and thoughts with when it comes to more mmm let's say open minded ideas.

I'd like to add don't turn in a supertramp (the female kind, not the '80s band lol), and fuck everything in sight!!!

I'd also like to add:
1) learn to enjoy your alone time, the freedom to do what you want when you want how you want and even though it might seem lonely at times, learn to use that time doing things for yourself that you couldn't normally do with a husband and kids around
2) Take a trip, Meet Market Adventures arranges all kinds of single oriented adventures or just hop on a plane and go. I've had some amazing times just showing up at a resort. I always seem to meet up with a great bunch of people. I was in mexico one time and met 3 guys at the pool, we went out and did some things. A couple of days later I met another group and ended up getting the two groups together...fuck was that fun. The BEST, and I shit you not, it had to be THE best time was when we all walked down to this restaurant overlooking Banderas Bay and had a full feast. The drinks were flowing, the food was non-stop and when the sun started to sink below the horizon...it truly was priceless....We were there for, sheesh, 3 hrs? I asked for the bill and it came to, I shit you not, $125.00 US for 10 people....... I picked it up. Fuck that was a night.....

Barb, do you have a bucket list? If not, consider making one with a reasonable amount of adventures that you want to do. You don't need to have someone with you to do them. Maybe 5-7 things that you've always wanted to do and expand from that.

Relationships, there is no time limit just consider that you have an opportunity for personal growth with no limitations. Do some self assessment, what are your priorities with family, friends and yourself.

"Go for it" enjoy life, we only get one. BTW, I like that Starbucks too
