Wow, how did I miss this thread the first time around?
If you hang out in the sports section at all, you'll notice that I'm still a pretty avid fan of several sports, but my playing days are over. I played baseball, hockey, soccer, ran cross-country, and many others to varying degrees, but a couple of minor injuries near the end of high school cut down my participation considerably. Once I went to uni, I was more interested in partying, drinking and fucking than playing sports.
Fortunately, I still maintain a very active lifestyle, and I've had the opportunity to do some really cool things - climbing Macchu Picchu, cycling from Bruges to Amsterdam, kayaking with whales in Baja... I would never be able to do these things if I didn't stay healthy and fit. So, even if your days of competitive sports are long behind you, there are still plenty of ways to stay active and have fun at the same time. :great:
