How many of you wish there was a law in Ontario to ticket slow drivers on the fast lane?

I flash at them, tailgate them to no avail. They still do not get it. People learn to drive properly.

NDIANAPOLIS (AP) —Indiana State Police say troopers issued more than 100 tickets to drivers in the year since a law took effect requiring drivers to move over from the left lanes of highways in favor of faster vehicles.

The law allows police to issue tickets to left-lane drivers who don't budge when they should reasonably know another vehicle is overtaking them.

State police report troopers wrote at least 1,535 warnings and 109 tickets under the law since last July.

Capt. David Bursten told WISH-TV the intent isn't to penalize drivers for not yielding to others going 95 mph, but to discourage inconsiderate drivers who think they own the left lane and help avoid traffic backups.

The mandate does not apply during traffic congestion or bad weather.

This one is hilarious.

:biggrin2:

I do wish it would happen but cops have other things to worry about. Like crime :shout:

:Praying: I wish it for everywhere, nothing pisses me off more. I'm a bit of a lead foot but still, the fast lane is just that.

There actually is a summons capability according to a buddy in the OPP. A driver who hogs the left lane and goes too slow can be charged and ticketed with "failure to yield" and/or "reckless driving".
