And no internet for porn. How many of you used to sneak a few times and borrow your Father's on Brothers' stash?.
I did...I would look through them......Unfortunately another brother decided to tape
naked centre folds all over his room....which did not sit well with my mom......
I do believe in letting your kids make mistakes, giving them the freedom to make
their own choices......I miss my Son but I feel he needs to grow now as an adult...
I did with no help....I may cry, get upset, I believe he will use the tools he has learned
from falling on his face.......
As for my parents....if we got in trouble at school we were very scared about
coming home.....My mother would go off on us......Belt, stick whatever was near
hear.......And she would ask How was your day .....Just knew if we were lying....

I think a lot of parents are forced into helicopter parenting because if they're not they are judged severely or worse they get children's aid called on them. Sadly, helicopter parenting has become the norm.

I worked at the first McDonald's that opened in Canada and I remember fries being .35 cents. I think a Happy Meal was .99 cents. I couldn't afford groceries back then so I survived by eating 3 meals a day at work! Ate a big mac every day for a year and survived!
