I am pretty sure I have gotten something like this about a year or so ago.

One of the strangest texts I have ever gotten was a few years ago. This girl texted me, but it was supposed to go to someone else. The text read *I want you so bad*! When I first read that, I was like, wtf lol. I texted her back, and we started a conversation, which increased, and we eventually met, and wow she was pretty damn hot Long story short, we dated for a short time... if you call what we did, dating LOL

I keep getting phone calls to my cell phone from the US. I answer it and hear a cruise ship horn and then I am told I won a free cruise. I usually hang up so I'm not sure how the rest of the scam goes.

It's likely a mostly-scam. If you called you'd be pitched on a seemingly cheap cruise vacation with the provisio that you sit through a "short" presentation on "vacation ownership" opportunities. But you find that this vacation will still cost you a couple hundred bucks and there's a lot of things not included (travel to and from your departure, alcohol, activities, etc.) and there ends up being a bunch of additional charges. And when you go on it you discover that the whole thing is meant to sell you on buying into a time share and the people they employ for that are very very high pressure. Google "Ramada Plaza Resorts" for tonnes of stuff about people's experience with this.

For about two weeks during college, I worked for a company that sold things like this. Sounds almost exactly the same - people would get a flyer in the mail saying they won and to call a 1-800 number. We were paid purely on commission. It was fucking terrible for so many reasons.
