I have to ask: why do you say this? How were they negligent?

As for the teenage boys being "forced" to rape her, that's bs...I'd string them up by the balls personally....you cannot force anyone to commit rape.....you walk out of the room to the nearest staff member and get security into that room.......

I don't know what it is about kids these days, when I was a kid, if any of my friends said "let's rape this chick" I'd be on the phone to the cops in 2 seconds flat....
 
Well it happened on a Carnival ship..... and it's stateside which means everyone gets sued!
 
What does Carnival have to do with anything? This has all to do with the animals involved who I agree should be castrated.

I heard booze was involved. Booze is strictly controlled (or supposed to be) on a cruise ship. So either they let the adult sneak it on, or they served him too much. Then there's the issue of providing a safe vacation environment....

while I agree about the safe vacation environment, it is impossible for anyone to control everyone at any given time. If a suit is brought forth, and won, then it opens a precedent for people to sue the police if they are a victim of a crime since we pay them to protect us from criminals right?

the only way a cruise ship could hope to prevent allowing anyone onboard who might do something untoward is to do a complete psyche profile on everyone which is virtually impossible.......

I'm not blaming the victim in the least, but wtf was a 15 yr old doing going back to anyone's cabin?
 
oh, going to look into that movie, chaos, it does look good.....and btw, I would be in total agreement with a law that passed that would allow a rape victim full and unsupervised access to her assailant........with the only criteria being that there would have to be 100% undeniable proof....(since we know there are many false claims of rape).......

No, however there is the possibility of the cruise line being held liable if it was shown that "buddy the 35 year old rapist" was visibly intoxicated and they continued to serve him. Remember that in this day and age a BAR is liable if a patron as one or two too many and they get into an accident.
The age of personal responsibility is GONE.

He has claimed being under the influence.
