I forgot to take the cash, just one of those days. I called them back and as usual no one answered. Drove back and told them what happened. Teller tells me to buy a lottery ticket because it was returned by a customer . I thanked her and wanted to know who it was but didn't leave a name.

Did he returned it because there are cameras or there are still good people on our screwed up world?.

I once went to the Montreal casino and A guy left a machine (I play slot machines) and I took his machine and saw he had left a 20$ bill in it...I saw a casino employee passing by so I told him and gave her the bill and another one came to thank me and tell me they would look at the cameras images and find him...

I am not cut to be a thief lol

I remember when I was a very poor student I took the metro and there was already a ticket in the slot and I pushed it in and ''save'' mine and I was all nervous as if I was doing something illegal...

if I was a bank robber I would be the one getting caught because she was too polite and waiting too long to get her money lol

I'm so happy you had a positive outcome. There are good people out there. I too had an oopsy moment a few weeks back, when I was in another city. I Had gone grocery shopping, with other shopping to do afterwards . I also had some banking to do so I had my car payment money tucked in one part of my wallet, and about 600 or so in another part, my phone in another with all my id, credit cards, etc, etc. When I was unloading my groceries from the cart to my car, I had forgot my wallet in the grocery cart which I had pushed back into the outside stall, luckily for me this was fairly early in the morning and there weren't many around. I realized my mistake when I was about a mile and 1/2 away, when I went to reach to get my phone. Needless to say I panicked and rushed back. Pulling into the parking lot I saw a grocery clerk pulling carts into the store. I hollered at him, lol, asking if by chance a wallet was seen in one of the carts, he smiled and said yes he had taken it to customer service. I ran in, hugged the woman inside, and after my many thanks went and gave the clerk a reward. This reinstated my faith in people Sorry, bit of a long story....but in hinds site, I feel bad for not giving the customer service lady something as well, other than a hundred thanks and a hug......oh and I did also say many thanks and praises to the young man who had found it

It’s nice to see some positive stories about good people. My faith in mankind has been shaken lately so I’ll take any good news.
ive never left the cash behind, but I’ve left credit or debit card behind. One retuned, the 2nd time Lost. That was a painful one to replace as I was out of the country.

A couple years ago I dropped my cell phone as I was getting off the train.
I rushed over to the next station in my car (the end of the line) to see if it was still on the train, but it wasn't.
But when I checked a the ticket window, they had it... someone had picked it up and took the time to turn it into the ticket office.
So I got my phone back.
There are good people in the world.

About a year ago I was walking through a park and saw a $100 bill folded in half lying on the sidewalk... Almost walked by it... picked it up... looked around, no one was desperately searching... thought, who carries $100 bills in the park downtown... thought about turning it into the police,
but decide to give it to the SP I was seeing at the time as a tip cause I know she was having some financial difficulties due to an injury earlier...
she was very thankful etc..

LOL...actually, when I first saw it I walk by not realizing what it was (I don't see $100 bills often) and had to walk back a couple steps to get it. I had a momentary thought that it was a prank... and looked around for the ha has.
