You're so kind Cristy- thank you
Here's another tip I've learned that I feel is important to share-Be Good to Yourself!
Take time to do something you enjoy:
- indulge your senses with a walk through the fall leaves
- spend time focused on a hobby or personal passion
- have a long bath just to relax and destress
- spend time with your kids just to share in their love
- bake something special, just for yourself
- redecorate just to add personality and beauty to your space
- do anything for you that is 100% all about you!
Make time to tend to your own needs and/or desires:
- discover what you need in order to be the best you you can be, and make a plan of action to obtain those things for yourself
- make a wish list of things you want to experience or obtain as goals in your life and commit to meeting at least one of these things per month, quarter, annually, as your time/budget allows
- add yourself to your already busy schedule; whether it be an hour a day, one afternoon a week, or one day per month- make time for YOU and commit to keeping that schedule for yourself!
Reward yourself* for being the most amazing YOU there ever was:
- make it a point to spoil yourself once in a while
- plan to set aside time and/or finances that are intended to just to treat yourself because you deserve it
- do something that makes you feel good each and every day, and do something that makes you feel amazing as often as possible!
*Rewards don't have be expensive or cost anything at all; you can use the good dishes and add candles to dinner alongside your favorite program while enjoying your favorite meal, you can do your hair and makeup not because you have to but because you deserve it and you like the way you feel all done up, you can dress down and have a day of gaming, programs, movies, or whatever you like to do as you relax, you can go outside to read a book, take a walk through the local park or nearby forest, people watch, explore the architecture of the local area, take inspirational pictures on your cell phone, etc... Rewards are the little things we do for ourselves that are all about us, whether they be tangible in nature or not- they are the gifts we give to ourselves because we deserve them!
Be Good to Yourself Because You Deserve It!
