The wind factor makes it feel line -20.

Just saying.

You should change your name to pussy! You're Canadian, this is nothing...grow a little hair on your back and you'll be fine!

This was what the NYS Thruway looked like today near Buffalo.

They closed the Thruway at 01:30 this morning.........Still a lot of people got stuck and still are.

I once got stuck on the 401 during an accident and didn't have enough fuel to keep the car on.

Suggestion to all is to get on a full tank before going to any major highway.

I don't know what you all are complaining about. I had to close my windows, turn on the heat, and wear a winter coat to work this morning! And the other day? It rained!!!

You must live in Seattle.

Actually I'm in North Carolina, where in all seriousness, we are experiencing record cold. -7C is expected this morning when I leave for work. Fortunately we expect to rebound to about 23C by next week, at least for a couple of days.

Having spent many years in upstate NY, I am genuinely sympathetic to the Buffalo people. And to any of you Canadians who are also getting hit with it.

Well

We have a brief respite, here in Buffalo and WNY, from the snow........................Another Lake Effect Storm moves in later today and will bring snow totals to UP to 100 inches. Keep in mind that 96 inches is 8 feet and you living room ceiling is likely just under 8 feet high.

While this storm is not dumping snow that high everywhere it is a bad one.

I have maybe a foot of snow in my driveway while 4 miles away there is 5 feet of snow.

All I can say is Thank God we WNYers are a hearty group and pull together when shit happens.

Hugs to warm you up, Papa. Awfully early in the season for this kind of snow!

View from the air last night

It was so cold this morning I suffered shrinkage just opening the door, I won't mention what happened once I sat in my car.
