Remembering way back when Sunday meant Sunday school at church, having to take a nap so parents could have a 'quiet time', a drive - that's where the expression "Sunday drivers" came from cause people were out for a leisurely tour of the countryside, dinner at Grandma's. All the stores were closed, no Sunday shopping.
I grew up in London and my dad used to take us for regular drives on the rural roads. We would stop and talk to the cows, and my dad could identify all the different crops, what kinds of fertilizer being used (chicken shit seems to be the most rancid), and we'd collect pop and beer bottles from the ditches to exchange at the corner store (way before recycling depots existed).

The weather is awesome here in Calgary today, going to the mid 20's and sunny. National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation is on the tube (one of my favorite movies). The only way it would be better is to have a hot sexy lady with me
