This explains why when I chatted to her about why she doesn't advertise indy on HUBGFE she was quite upset. Looks like she burned yet another bridge.

Just to show how flakey she is, when I suggested Gemini because they are new. She came back with you got to be kidding. Yet hours later Gemini is her decision. Good luck to Gemini in dealing with her.

I was actually considering visiting her, but yet again drama surrounds her.

I think she is probably well aware that review boards and their members account for very little of any sps business. No doubt she misses out on their members, but reviewers in general tend to be have one maybe two visits in them, then move on.

She no doubt has a lot of fun with it all; lurkers don't pay much attention to the lounge and its goings on. Be different if she promoted herself solely thru board advertising, but you can usually tell the difference between the sps who post or advertise only on boards and those who establish themselves outside of them. A lot of sps have no idea boards like this exist, and still carry on about their biz without them impacting their lives or biz in any way, in spite of what the members might believe. I think the only ones it would impact are those who do not advertise off board, and only get clients from the board members or lurkers.

I have seen a lot of different rambunctious sps get themselves kicked off boards for bad behaviour, and still get awesome reviews and lots of business from some who just don't give a damn. I have also seen a lot of posters do similar things like saying "she won't be around long with this attitude" or "this will affect her biz", etc. It never does; never will, except for the very few board members who might have seen her, easily replaced by the couple of hundred who do.


But also, this is the sort of sp who discourages reviews and reviewers from seeing her. It is deliberate. A lot of sps do not want any reviewers seeing them, as they are different from their regular clientele, and not always in a good way. They have a tendency, at times, to threaten them with bad reviews if the sp does not comply with their demands; this is not something a client who does not come from or know about review boards ever does. A lot of sps are burned badly and turned off by this kind of guy, too scared to report them, and then spend a lot of time trying to avoid you all. :twisted:

I think you underestimate the power with word of mouth. This is a relatively newer board and there's over 2000 members, negative information spreads like wildfire.

It usually takes multiple positive reports to superceed a negative one. Human nature dictates that everyone always remembers the bad so much easier than the good.
