I might give one or the other as a gift, this person drinks instant coffee now so they obviously aren't a coffee connoisseur. Any insight to which would be the easiest to use and is better? I appreciate any input

I use the Keurig but not the Keurig branded machine.......The Keurig machines force you to use only approved K-cups. Resulting in increased cost.

can you elaborate...I don't understand your answer...you use a Keurig but it's not Keurig?

Several manufatures make brewers that use K-cups and they will brew any K-cup where as the Keurig will only brew the K-cups that have a special autheniction strip on them.

That raises the cost per cup and limits your choices

I used to use a Keurig (before they turned nazi and insisted you use only their branded cups) but two years ago I bought a Saeco machine, use fresh beans, and it makes wonderful lattes, expressos, americans and cappucinos. And probably other stuff that I haven't fiogured out yet. Better than Starbucks.

I have an old Keurig that doesn't require you to use Keurig branded K-cups. When I need a new machine some day I'll probably buy a Mr Coffee K-cup machine--I know a few people who bought them with good results.

Do not get the cheap one it only holds enough water for 2 mugs of coffee.
