Normally I would agree with those that say that she shouldn't have hit him. But the skateboarders we have around here tend to be obnoxious assholes who care nothing for pedestrians. If this was just an accident and the guy was apologetic and concerned and or the kid shouldn't have been running around in a skating area...maybe you let him slide. But was this a case where the skaters didn't belong or were disregarding other people in the area or ignoring requests/warnings about skating in a busy area...then good for her.

I have a 3 year old and I've become much less patient with others while protecting him. I used to be able to put up with a lot...now, if you endanger my kid you will definitely have to deal with me.
