Here's how to play Pac-Man on Google Maps

Google has not been shy about professing its love for video games. Try Google searches for "do a barrel roll" and "zerg rush" right now and see what we mean.

In time for April Fools' Day tomorrow, Google is using Maps to pay tribute to a classic: Pac-Man.

When you go to maps.google.com, you'll notice two icons at the bottom left, one for Google Earth and the second for Pac-Man. Select any city you want, then click the Pac-Man icon to start playing in a section of the city. I've tried it with both Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, and each time I got a different level corresponding to a part of the city.

This is not the first time Google has opened up Maps to video games. In 2012, that rendered all locations with old-school, 8-bit graphics.
