I am thinking of taking a week off and going somewhere last minute.... I don't care where, as long as it is hot. I guess what I am looking for is best possible resort least possible cost....

does anyone have the skinny on this?

Do not take any Cruises ...there are too many out breaks right now
of the Flu...

How about Cuba.....My sister goes almost every year...she said the Resort
remembers you and they make sure everything goes smooth for you....

Cuba's ok.... most resorts there the food is ok, nothing to write home about. However Playa Del Carmen, one of my favourite destinations, the food there is pretty good.

I usually use https://www.flightcentre.ca/ to find good deals, but there are other companies that are just as good price wise.

I used to use travel agencies for this type of thing but since they are pretty much gone now, all the big players have areas for last minute travel. Places like expedia and travelocity should have last minute packages. One thing about these sites too is they have review areas so you can see kind of what you're getting into.

One word of advice: make sure you have your passport. I knew someone who said "hey I'm going to cuba in 2 weeks" I asked them the same question: they said? umm noooo "then you aint going to cuba" lol......

(correct me if I'm wrong but I am sure I read somewhere that cuba demands a passport now....they used to accept a birth certificate I believe)

I remember 10 years ago, last minute packages had awesome deals and travel agencies were aggressively competing for your money. Nowadays, they are pretty much the same rerice. FLight centre is not bad but again the price they have is very similar to others.

You can go away for as little $400 for a week all inclusive .
I got for 3 people in Jamaica, 3 nights 4days $900
