I notice many of the members are locking horns causing the locking of threads. I believe sometimes we all need to sit back and listen to what others have to say instead of trying to interject our beliefs. Now I know many will sit back, point their finger at me or in this case their monitor and respond "pot meet kettle" but that's not quite the right. I as of late have been here to learn what makes most of you tick and so far what I'm seeing is a lot of built up frustration and anger. This causes the powers that be to lock the thread which takes away debate and really puts a damper on the forum. At times we have to reach rock bottom to climb up and taste victory. We are adults, let us adults share our ideas, battle it out and reach a resolution. Considering this boards main reason for its existence, this is the last forum I would expect to see the heavy hand of censorship!

What I see in the locking of threads is that they have been seriously derailed, off-topic and toxic at times. I don't blame the admin or mods for locking threads that have ran their course.

I'm one of the shit-disturbers from time to time, and some members should let nonsense roll off the shoulders as it is hard to carry the weight of the world all the time.

Locking threads isnt censorship.

Sometimes discussions get out of control and people start getting overly emotional or angry and it has to be stopped before something is said that cant be taken back.

I look at the mods as peacekeepers, its a thankless task and I know that because I was a mod for over a decade. They try to do whats best for everyone and they know they wont please everyone 100% of the time with their decisions. If you have an issue with a mod's decision, I suggest you contact Oceanus or another moderator and explain calmly why you disagree with their decision.

OH OH OH OH OH, I have an issue with OCEANUS...

I SHOULD be granted mod status so I can control the trespassers! I want to be able to BAN anyone who even looks at me in a strange way!!

Papa, BANNED for asking for a raise

Guido BANNED for illegal wild cat strike

Blissful BANNED for leaving skid marks on my underwear

Rob Ford BANNED for having bad taste when ass grabbing

Peace BANNED for improperly training for the art of ass grabbing

CasaNova BANNED for being AWOL

Tranny BANNED for painting the closet walls pink without asking first

One could contact the mod that made the decision via PM.

I guess ball smacking is ok.

Must be something in the air these days. Peeps seem very eager to pick fights.

I am just glad the mods here are watching for unnecessary trolling and bullshit. Keep it the good site guys.

Agreed.

Let's dispense with the bullshitters and let us clowns have fun.

Thanks Madman....I am packing as I write this......Good Luck with your Laundry.....

As for the Mods interjecting when need, I think it is great.....

Sometimes we all get tunnel vision and you need a mediator
to just get everybody a time out....to rethink what they are
posting and to settle down......

I feel jabbing people in other threads is immature and childish...
and if you want to say something to some one....stop doing that....
As if we can not see what is happening and the person being jab is
trying to stay cool about it.....Yes it goes on and on......
I know because it happens to me....

Look at Madman and the Laundry situation....he can just PM me...but No
in almost all the treads I go back on he is saying things about skid marks...
Well they are not my skid marks.....

PM the person or persons you have issues with......

I have found the one who left the skid marks

:rofl!:

In secret he blames it on the Paranormal....

security footage shows he been seeing her for about 3 months.

I suspect the costs of transportation and meals for her has been coming out of the payroll account.

I am not excusing him but if this is true he could be in a fair amount of trouble for stealing from that account.

Keep this to yourself while we investigate the matter

:grrrrrr: So all the short pay was on a woman.......OMG...

You better get somebody to investigate.......Don't tell me he will just
be charged with a White Collar crime and be sent to one of those
Fancy Prisons........:grrrrrr:

Locking up is censorship because it is a judgement call on what's right and wrong in the mods opinion which limits proper debate and hopefully a resolution. Instead the two arguing members take this suppressed anger to other threads. Now, take the confrontation that occurred with Boing. Boing used a very derogatory word that cannot be tolerated and rightfully banned for doing so. I'm hoping it was only a couple of days to cool down but a slap on the wrist was warranted. In some cases I agree but in many cases I think the thread should be allowed to run it's own course and let the parties involved hash it out to a conclusion. If we are adults, surly we can argue and debate without blooding one another's nose can we not??

publicly lashing out is never a good answers.

I have no idea if Boing is suspended for a few days or permanently banned, thats something you would have to ask the moderators.

As a former Mod, its a tricky situation to try and appease to the majority. No matter what you do, someone's going to have an issue with it.

Far as I'm concerned, that word was rarely if ever used and I absolutely dislike the word. It should never be used in anger as far as I'm concerned and I have never used it that I can recall.

I can't believe I am agreeing with you but I am.

The last thread that was locked was pretty tame if you ask me.

FF was being her usual opinionated self, as is her right I might add.

And the jist of the thread was fairly civil or so I thought.
