That isn't totally wrong. The US has cameras everywhere now and even mounted to police cars and they scan all licence plates within its perview.....Not as bad as great britain, but getting there.

Plus they've introduced that new bill that gives police the power to observe, listen in, and track our net activities without a warrant...

You're right though, with all the personal cameras around they (at this point) do outweigh whatever the government is doing.....

this reminds me of when I ran a boat charter out of Toronto Harbour. This sales rep booked me a lot to take clients out. So as a thank you to him, I said I'd do one for free. He arranged to have his 16 yr old son and friends to come out. Well, his son brought 1 guy friend and 5 little hotties. We weren't 100 yds from the dock when all the clothes came off and they were running around in their skimpy little thong bikinis *eg*.......oh man, I woulda done 10 charters for free if they were all like that heheheh
