Made with Love

Look what The USA gun makers-sellers are doing now after the last few gun outbreaks.

The argument from the NRA will be that semi-auto weapons are available for hunters and this should be no different..

It will be interesting to hear what they have to say today. They have been taking their time to craft a message, it will be very interesting.

If something isn't available it cannot be had. Assault/Military weapons should be only for the military or police department. Would you allow civilians to drive around the city in a tank, probably not so why should anyone own weapons specifically designed to mow people down??
There are hunting rifles which are just as powerful as assault rifles

yes esco, I admit it, there will always be those who are fucked enough to find a way to dO Someone else harm...the trick is to make it as difficult as possible for them to do it without removing an innocent person's rights
I have no problem making it a bit more difficult for psychos to get a hold of powerful weapons. I do have a BIG problem if that leads to a slippery slope, and all guns are eventually banned

Gun control isn't about the belief that criminals will respect the law. It's about making it more difficult to get and making it illegal to own certain weapons.

My two year old is not yet capable of rational and moral thinking. If I take away his hockey stick, he'll use a spatula to bang on the coffee table. Leaving my machete in the living room for him would be irresponsible and plain stupid.

so you agree that you should have no alcohol in your house o r car for that matter, because someone in your house may one day drink and drive

fully automatic weapons are illegal in the US

Give me 72 hours and I will be able to get one

laws only deter people who obey them

better yet give me 12 hours and I will get a hand gun in Toronto

Absolutely not. But I would agree that leaving your liquor cabinet unlocked with an alcoholic in the house would be irresponsible.

No doubt. You can buy conversion kits to go full auto at a flea market in Florida. But I'd rather it take you 12 hours to get a handgun than be able to walk into your local Wal-Mart and buy one off the rack.

big dieeerence is the one I purchase at walmart has my ID attached to the buy.

The more relevant difference is that you can make an impulse buy at WalMart. It's easily accessible, and relatively cheap. That's the purpose of gun control.

Baddies will do bad things. The point is to make it harder. Making it impossible is unrealistic at this point. The gate's been open too long for that.

Papa give me one good reason why you or anyone else should be allowed to own a semi automatic assault rifle?

Look at the success the ban has had in Australia and Dunblane after their tragic massacres.

The NRA made a total fool of themselves this morning with their putting MORE guns in the hands of the good guys. I think the mood has shifted in the US and changes are coming down the pike.

The reasoning for allowing the citizenry to possess assault weapons comes from the birth of the United States. It's about allowing citizens to form militia, possessing the same arsenal as the government's armed forces, so as to form a check/balance against a tyrannical government.

give me one good reason that you do not know I do not support people owning assault riffles or semi-autos.

More shootings.

By
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. —
The Blair County district attorney said that four people, including the alleged gunman, are dead after a series of shootings along a rural road on Friday.

The district attorney said the victims are one woman and three men, including the gunman.

Three Pennsylvania state troopers were injured. One was shot in the chest and had a bulletproof vest on; one was injured in a crash; and one was injured by flying debris. All three troopers are expected to be OK.

The scene covers several miles and happened on Juniata Valley Road just outside Geeseytown.
Neither the names of the victims nor suspected gunman were immediately released as of 2 p.m.

Courtney Brennan of WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh reported that the suspected gunman was “mobile” at one point and went up and down a rural road and shot victims.

They've gone mad.

Reports suggested that the National Rifle Association, backed into a corner since a gun massacre last week killed 20 six- and seven-year-olds, would come out swinging at video games and other violent entertainment in a news conference today, and boy, they did not disappoint.
Wayne LaPierre, the NRA's executive vice president, gave a teeth-sucking condemnation of "vicious, violent video games, with names like Bulletstorm, Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombatand Splatterhouse."

LaPierre then, as if presenting some undiscovered trump card showing video games' depravity, gestured toward a screen playing a game called "," a flash game that has been online for at least 10 years and last made news in 2008, when a Finnish game site pulled it following a school shooting in that country.
"Isn't fantasizing about killing people as a way to get your kicks really the filthiest form of pornography," LaPierre said.

LaPierre, in a shaking voice throughout the entire news conference, at times sounded like he didn't believe what he had been handed to read. The NRA's public face also blamed the creation of gun-free school zones for giving deranged killers the assurance that they could carry out mass murder against unarmed targets.

He seemed to argue for more armed personnel in school, if not teachers then security guards. "Why is a gun good to protect president or country, but bad when used to protect children in schools?" he asked rhetorically.

I am neutral on it. I just thought it is a huge gap between the other Countries.

what you provided was a pretty picture with no supportive data.....tells me you are left of the neutral pint on this

I do hate guns and I'm not shy to admit it. I do believe farmers and people outside city limits should be allowed to have guns for protection provided they are known to authorities but I don't agree any civilian living within the city needs a concealed fire arm or guns in their home under any circumstance. Let me correct that, unless he or she is military personnel or a law man.

Piers Morgan(CNN) I'm sure will have a very lively show tonight after the irresponsible and asinine comments from the leader of the NRA today.
