NYC does offer great pizza....too bad about Toronto's as its plain horrible unless you buy it one from some independent Italian place...

Pizza Nova isn't bad but it's expensive, PizzaPizza depending on the store is edible but there is a Fortino's on Highway 27 and Langstaff that makes an incredible fresh pizza.

What makes the NYC pie is the thin crust and reasonable amount of garlic.

It is obvious you haven't had a real pizza. Perhaps cut down on prunes and learn to appreciate a delicious authentic pizza!

Tomato sauce, oregano, basil, onion,garlic, hot red pepper, salt. A real simple sauce.

I have heard that but I like to keep it simple and build the flavors on top of the sauce.

You can take my basic sauce, reduce the oregano, increase the basil and use it on pasta.
Makes for a clean lite pasta sauce.

I tried it a few times. First time, I overdid it....too salty. But it got better each time. However, I rarely do it as Transient wouldn't like it. It might affect his technique.
