.... friends took him to a strip club and paid for the bachelor package, which includes special on-stage attention. At one point, the dancer reportedly slid down a pole and landed on...., who was lying flat on the stage.

The force of the impact was so strong it ruptured his bladder and caused internal bleeding. The groom left the club in severe pain, and the next morning he went to a hospital where they suggested he have surgery. The incident occurred in November 2010, but ..... is now suing the club seeking $50,000 for medical costs, pain, humiliation and mental anguish.

I dunno.. some of these strippers can be pretty viscous. I get the impression some of them try to hurt any guy that dares to go up on the stage - that'stheir territory!
Besides.. you can sue for anything!

sounds to me like he had reasonable expectation of safety and was injured in a malicious attack.

I don't know that it was malicious, that requires intent....more like accidental if anything.....but either way, he is entitled to compensation for at the very least, his medical costs, and any lost wages etc....

I mean you're kind of at the stripper's mercy and be somewhat embarrased etc but certainly not injured.....

I read the comments below from the link... wow people can be such fucking assholes.

I wonder how they they would like it when their bladder gets ruptured one day, from an unfortunate, yet "silly" accident like a pigeon crashing right onto their crotch. I hate assholes who laugh at other people's misfortunes because of how "stupid" the situation seems. A misfortune is still a misfortune.

reasonable expectation of safety combined with her dropping her weight Yea it was malicious.

Surgery? US ? $50 k doesn't soung like there is much more in the claim other than medical costs.

Yeah he sounds like he is asking for a very reasonable amount. Which is very rare these days I might add.

And I don't know what the SC's defence would be to this.

Reminds of the Italian whoremaster who broke his penis the night beforemarrying a virgin. On their wedding night she undressed pointed to her pussy and says:

"Tony, look ata my poossy. No man has ever seen! No man has ever touched! No man has ever tasted!"
Tony drops his pants to expose his penis which is wrapped up with tape and tongue depressors.
"Shadup! Mine's so new it's still in the fookin crate!"

All this time I thought touching wasn't allowed in the strip clubs here in the states.
