I guess the Doctor Patient Privacy Oath means nothing to you! How dare you release my medical information on a public forum.

If something is staring back at you in your bed and it looks like a horse, don't worry it doesn't bite but will make a statement!:grrrrrr:

As for the horse head staring back in bed that doesn't bite (or do much else), I was married for almost a decade. Doesn't scare me one bit!

Calm down, dear sir! I did not mean you at all! I, of course, referred to a caped crusader sidekick in a Speedo. (You've never seen his chest hair, have you? Don't!) For the record, client-patient priviledge covers the identity of the caped crusader sidekick, and I will never, ever, divulge his identity. No hints, even! Nothing to do with, say, Sherwood Forest. Schtum! That's me!

Rule #1 in how to win friends and influence people...

What BITI really means is he didn't have any luck changing this board to suit his specific requirements, so like a baby he'll now hold his breath until he turns blue :shout:

What board?.

It's a private board, by invitation only, anto. New applicants need to be "vouched for" by an existing member, like in Donnie Brasco. Everyone there is required to make minimum contributions to the other members in terms of file sharing. I invited three people, but not anyone I know from here.

There's one person who is a moderator on that forum, and is also a moderator on the forum where I moderate, but I don't know his handle on that other board. I use bobistheowl on both. I only know that he's a moderator there because one of my friends told me that in a Private Message, but she didn't give me his handle. She didn't know that he's a guy, who pretends to be a woman, for his/ her type design.

I don't know why he does that. He might be gay, or maybe he just likes to pretend he's something he's not, when posting on an Internet forum. That kind of behavior is very common. It doesn't appeal to me, though. It's usually people who aren't anything much who try to pretend to be something they're not. They're usually the same people who'd rather read about some other guys having sex than actually have sex themselves. this place is full of guys like that. I don't consider you to be one of them.

You're a decent guy, anto, and I think you were the first person to ask me a question in Ask bobistheowl!, before the first hijack attempt, even. I'd have invited you to my hypothetical party, if I had increased the size of the guest list, but the small number of guests was part of the social experiment.

I had a party once where I could only invite five people, because I was living in a small bachelor apartment, and the place would have been too crowded with more people than that.

Back then, (1984), a TV remote for cable was physically connected to the TV cable box, and the maximum number of channels was 36. The remote had twelve buttons to push, and something like a stick shift, for cable channels 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. When you moved the stick shift, you accessed stations from a different channel tier.

This was in Montreal, so more than half of the stations were in French, and all were 'over airways' stations; 'cable-only' stations hadn't started yet. This was a few months before TSN and MuchMusic had started to broadcast. I used to go to a club to watch MTV from a satellite dish feed, because there weren't music videos on TV yet, now there aren't any, anymore.

Nobody had a home computer, except geeks, who bought kits at Radio Shack. The DOS operating system hadn't even been invented yet. That's just over 30 years ago, but it was a much better world than we have now.

Anyway, at the party, we all did acid, and played a game with the TV remote. I'd put one station on, with the sound off, and only the picture, and start to tell a story, then switch to another station, and continue the story, with whatever the new picture was, and try to keep the story relatively consistent. It was all improvised, while on acid, for an audience of five people on acid. I didn't know what the next picture was going to be.

The six of us had one of the best parties ever, all in one room, hardly larger than three office cubicles, plus a bathroom. I had a half sized refrigerator, under a counter, and a two element stove. The rent was about $140 a month, but I was gouged on the cost of the heating. This was on Durocher Street, just down the street from where the Alouettes play, at Molson Stadium.

We partied there because all of my friends there still lived at home, with their parents, and my place was about 20 minutes walk from our college campus. I was studying Data Processing, and I was in the first year class, but I had been in college a few years earlier, and needed a few more credits to graduate, so I only did the first year of Data Processing, and graduated at the end of that year, in a different discipline. A few months later, I moved back to Toronto, (I originally lived in Toronto, until I was eight years old).

Guys who are smart should seek out women who study computer sciences in college, because they're women who think logically, and women like that are worth their weight in gold, unless they're fat.

One of the girls in my class looked like a 17 year old Raquel Welch. In my whole life, I've only met one woman who had a prettier face, and only about five who were on her level. She was smart as a whip, too. When I told a joke, she would see the joke like a mathematical equation, and try to figure out what the punch line was going to be, before the joke ended. I've spoken of her here, before. I call her The McGuyver of Jokes. I found her on Linked-In, so I'll give her a call the next time I'm in Montreal.

I wouldn't have wanted to date her in college, only because she's very Italian Catholic, and the men in her 'clan' would have been hostile towards someone who was not their paisan, especially because she was so hot. That probably doesn't apply anymore, since she's approaching 50. I haven't seen her in 30+ years, but I have no doubt that she's still the hottest woman in any room she walks into.

There was a woman in the same classes that interested me more, though, for different reasons. She was one of the six people at the party I spoke about above

She looked kind of like Taylor Swift, but with a better nose, and a body I found more appealing. She used to wear tight jeans and very comfortable, baggy sweaters to school, so guys wouldn't judge her based on the great body she kept hidden. I found her on Linked-In, as well. My home girls don't waste their time with things like Facebook and Twitter. They read books, and speak to people face to face.
