You would think, but not really. I know A LOT of women who are unhappy with their sex lives. They settle to have none or use toys like me but away from letting the SO know. The problem they say is the 5 minute boring sex that hubby gives. Often there is no foreplay, no big O for her and the resent that hubby gets off in 5 mins and leaves happy while they are still unsatisfied. I say they have to speak to hubby and if they did they would be shocked at how hubby feels the same way. Hubby is just so happy to be getting any, he blows in 5 mins and jack hammers his cock into wifey like a 13 year old school kid.

The lack of sex in a lot of relationships is not lack of sex drive, but lack of communication.

I'm not disputing that there are a lot of women burdened with husbands who are so lousy in bed that it affects their sex drive but I'm willing to bet that after 4 years of marriage the percentage of women that want sex everyday, regardless of the abilities of their lovers is still far less than the percentage of men. I'm not sure there has ever been a national study but there is no empirical evidence that I'm aware of that suggests the % of men who are lousy lovers is any higher than women who are lousy. It is probably equal but men probably complain more vociferously.

One of the reasons I speculate that, on average, libido might be lower for women is the extra burden of being mothers. That alone can take the edge off - due to shear exhaustion. Very few of us men share that burden equally. For those that aren't mothers there was a study released recently which suggested that the birth contol pill may also have a negative impact on sex drives. I wish I had noted the source so I could double check it was something legit.

As life goes on there are the usual things like boredom from lack of variety ( 7 year itch) etc etc until, joy oh joy, after 15 or 20 years of marriage menopause approaches where there is quite often (not always) a drop-off in libido for many women . Children and hormones have the deck stacked against you for long stretches of time in many cases.

So good on you for having what I would still classify as an above average sex drive ( for both men and women) and long may it last. :biggrin:
