Truxks, salt and sand was available. Problem was they couldn't find the manpower.
Bummer it is.

Left the house at 7:30 am got to work at 10:30 am. Stuck in my car for 3 hours, had to stop to pee and froze my dick :aww:. Roads were like an outside skating ring. Never seen it like that before.

Lorenzo, quick call Rob Ford to bitch and whine. He will get to the bottom of this  :)

Darn I am on a roll today :666:

LOL this is funny.....how about just not going in to work? and no, you can't sue the city for not clearing the roads quick enough for your liking. I mean, they could hire 10,000 drivers and buy 10,000 trucks and have them parked idling at the end of every road just in case it snows...but then your taxes would be around $120K a year......

That's another beauty about living up here....people know it snows. People buy snow tires or have 4 x 4s, and the town doesn't clear the roads usually until the storm is over and then it is usually a day later. I was out after the last big blow and there was 12" of snow on the main road (what in the city would be comparable to yonge st.). They got around to plowing/sanding it about 12 hrs later.

BTW: just in case you forgot, this is Canada, it snows here!:)

Apparently, the MTO claims if the temperature is too cold, the salt/sand doesn't always work.

One of my pet peeves is the city uses way too much salt on the roads and sidewalks. Today the snow was melting on its own but a truck comes along dumping a good half inch of salt everywhere to speed it up.
It's terrible for your doggie's paws! :grrrrrr:

never mind your doggie, it's bad for your car, truck, bus, signs, concrete, parks, carpets, shoes, boots, and most of all, the environment.
