My Recent Health Crisis

The material driven, career driven, replace your smartphone every year; brag about everything cool you have on social media society make it's very easy to loose touch the simplest and most important things in life.

A lot of us are so overwhelmed by so many competing priorities these days it doesn't take long to get loose yourself in them.

I hate being stuck in conversation with some millennials who complain about the price of a new home, how global warming is harming the planet only to prattle on about 20 reasons why they absolutely have to replace a 6 month old iPhone.

Then they wonder why I spend so much time alone taking care of my dog. She never bores me.

Too many of us mindlessly meander through too many of our days because we take the time we're given for granted. We think we have and abundant supply of days we can consume chasing material items we believe will greatly improve the quality of our lives once they are in our possession.

None of ever consider the true price of those possessions. We loose count of the days of our lives lost days staring at computer & smartphone screens.

The math is never our favour in life. It's in control of every person to decide how those numbers add up. The number of days we get will never be in our control. How we choose to spend the number of days we're given is always in our control.
