Back to the boing...having been banned on the red board for calling someone an "a##hole" (well, he was!) I know these things can be frustrating and annoying for the banned person, but also for those who did enjoy their contributions. Boing made some interesting posts and I suspect he used the banned-but-forgiven word for effect, whether deserved or not. Perhaps a short-term ban (think of it as a time-out to contemplate his error) is more appropriate. Yeah, he can create a new account and come back with a new guise, but what's the point. Just slap on the wrist, say "don't do it again", and hope he doesn't.
