Made with Love

Now THAT'S fricken fast....

Pretty big detail to overlook if you're testing a goddam bullet! "Don't know how to control 'er boys, but let's fire 'er off and see what she can do!".

kind of like the first guys to try and break the land speed record....I saw a documentary on it and at certain speeds, you'd turn left to go right and right to go left lol......I mean, they can't test it in a wind tunnel lol......

No wonder the USA is almost bankrupt.

actually, the USA isn't, just the government....I'd say that for the most part, it's due to the tax breaks given to all big business and the amount spent on defence....(which this hypersonic aircraft is a part of). There is a catch 22 with defence spending though. A lot of the technology we use we wouldn't have if the money wasn't spent on defence. For eg: GPS. The satellites were put up by the military and we civvies are reaping the benefits....

Yeah, there's that too. I'm with you too (and not to turn this into an economics lesson) whereby I wholeheartedly disagree with welfare recipients getting cheques. Their rent should be paid directly by the various governments, they should get weekly food packages delivered that contain the bare necessities for their particular situation. I also agree that they should be allowed to supplement those barest necessities with up to 50% of their "payment" with income earned via a part time job.

The thing about handing them money is, and I saw this first hand growing up in the 'hood, is that you could always tell when the cheques came in because a line of cabs would form in from of the various buildings and they'd all be off to the beer store to load up.

Anyhow...... imagine after the Wright Bros. flew, they looked back and said "...120 feet in 12 seconds, at a speed of 6.8 miles per hour???? Fuck it not worth trying any more."

lol you're right...it's all relative. Imagine 100 yrs in the future they'll look back and say: 20 times the speed of sound? pshaw lol......
