It's hard to believe that a just few decades ago, we had to share phone lines with other families. How did we manage to keep any secrets back then?

In Cuba, they had people on each block that basically worked for the government, watching and ratting on their neighbors. It's stuff like this that really turns me off to any government surveillance without a specific warrant. It's just too easy for a government to slip down the slope of protecting the people to controlling the people.
