Hunting Season .....

I'm calling the bullshit card on this......

and I NO longer hunt you twit.....after seeing an animal in agony after even a well placed shot made me realize what a barbaric practice it is. If you don't see that you're an unfeeling idiot.

I bet you also endorse shark finning, killing bears for their gall bladder and rhinos for their horns...I bet you also get wet watching the scene in dances with wolves where the white men killed all the buffalo and left their carcasses for the vultures, only taking their hides.....leaving the natives to starve......

First...I never killed anything then I point out I have...Then I am into enjoying killing things....
You really are not worth my time......
If it not one thing then the other......So on and so on......

tboy...just leave me alone....do not bother me anymore ....
I have tried to be Nice to you ....I am tried to understand you....but I am
learning when to say I Have Had Enough.....

Chill out.....Leave me.....You are just full of hate for me.....That is fine...I have
other that I respect here...have fun and laugh with....Go get Laid or something....

1) You point out that you have killed, that is what you're saying, that doesn't prove a damn thing. Plus it kind of contradicts what you've told us in the past. For eg: you've said your family was quite well off. Well, I highly doubt that anyone with any standard of living would make their daughter go out and slaughter animals for dinner.....just doesn't add up.
2) condone is different than enjoy....and believe me, if you've hunted before, and you say you have, then were you forced to do it? I can't see ANYONE (other than inuit) going out hunting just for the sake of it......because there are a LOT easier ways to get your meat than traipsing through the bush.
3) You come on here all weepy and crying and boo hoo hooing about how upset you are that your ex left you yet condone the killing of wildlife.....You come on here telling us how sensitive you are, but if you were really all that sensitive, you wouldn't condone hunting....but then again, you're a walking contradiction, so that just goes along with it....

The other day you said to Psmerf how sorry you were his dog died.....were you really sorry or were you thinking: oh fuck, what a waste, I could have wokked his dog with some onions......

Have you eaten dog? is it good? How about kittens? do you eat them too?

I would try anything on my plate as long as it taste good. My father told me a story many years ago, rest his soul who one time they were so hungry they had to eat a cat. He actually loved the meat, he recalled how it tasted so much better than rabbit!

seems to me that some people just don't approve of hunting and others do.

Did you ever notice how the pro-hunt crowd accepts the anti-hunt crowd's right to disagree with it?

Yet the anti-hunt crowd tends to belittle and insult anyone who disagrees with them?

maybe it is time to realize to hunt or not to hunt is a decision each person makes for him or herself and not a decision that can be forced by insults and belittling others.

You're right Pops!

As long as the hunter follows the law and regulations it's all good.

EXACTLY....and the thing is, the penalty for breaking those rules and regulations should be so severe as to curb those who do (break the rules).

Funny though Psmerf: those that support hunting often do not have a clue as to what it's like to take a life...any life. IMO until you've actually done so, then you have no right to have a say in the matter........(and for the record, I don't believe for a second a person can be hyper sensitive yet casually condone the taking of a life....just doesn't jive).

I guess I qualify many times over to speak on this.

why do you belittle people for disagreeing with you on this?

Your anger seems to be misdirected. Perhaps it is meant to be directed inward for what you view as your murderous efforts in the past.

Actually, I think you missed the part where I, while not wholeheartedly support it, do understand the need for it......

What gets me is people who blatantly mindlessly support it, with vigor I might add, and then justify it using BS analogies (like the killing of domesticated animals), then try and convince me that they've actually slaughtered a pig....I mean really? REALLY? do you honestly believe that our super hyper sensitive little bliss has actually corralled a live pig, tackled it to the ground, hung it up by its heels and cut its throat? Then proceeded to disembowel it, and then butcher it?

Do you REALLY believe she's done that?

Do you REALLY believe that she's donned hunting gear, picked up a 30-06, walked through a forest, tracked a deer, stalked it, shot it cleanly through the head, then proceeded to string it up, and dress it?

If you do, I've got some land to sell you..........

Now if it was Honeybee, I could sort of buy it......but bliss?

I believe we are all capable of killing.

I do not believe all people will kill.

If I am to believe you once killed and now chose not to, then I must believe the same transformation of Bliss is possible.

Oh, one more thing, I've been shooting firearms since I was 10 yrs old and I don't know if I could shoot a deer through the head from 100 yrds.....even with a scope.....and bliss expects us to believe that she's that great a shot? coughbullshitcough......

(btw, the last time I shot target, I hit the bullseye from (I think it was) 50 yrs with iron sights.....30-30......I was the only 1 of 12 that did that.....)

Papa Thanks ....It not really the Hunting that is bothering him....It is me...
Once again he has started up with me....If I say it is Green he would argue and insult me
to say it is Red.......We talk about Bullying on here.....Seems one person does not get it...
or is having issues and I am the one who he feels he can insult without a care.....

Papa I am realizing he has his own issues.....something I do not have the energy or
even want to try to understand anymore.....He is not worth it to me...I have tried,
I do not need his approval...Learn that too from a woman on here....:rofl!:

So I am smiling.......Thanks Papa....:wink2:

I remember visiting a small town in Italy. I was invited to join my friend's grandparents' place and they raised many animals. During one morning, the grandfather showed us how to kill a chicken. He Just grabbed and snapped its head instantly. Whoa! Then he de-feathered it. I have to admit it was difficult watching it. Even when I ate it (omg it was delicioussss), I felt guilty. Then the next day, the grandfather killed a rabbit. WHoa! It was so easy to de-skin the rabbit. Just hand it up on the hook upside and pull it off the skin. Again it was incredibly delicious and yet I felt guilty.
The third one (papasmerf), the grandfather needed people to help him out with a pig. He needed a tractor and many tools to kill the pig. JUst a very long dirty process.

Anyway, I could never imagine myself being a hunter which in some way makes me a coward. Yet I do try to be grateful and respectful of the animals. In the meantime, I have zero tolerance for trophy hunters. Just plain stupidity and wasteful.

not a coward Peace, just a person who knows that somethings are not for them.

It takes a brave man to know his limits and observe them, always.

I agree with Papa Peace. I like to poke fun at you but you're a good guy!

When I was little I use to help my father kill the rabbits. I would give them the knock out blow and pops would do the rest. My mother would handle the chickens. I remember on occasion we'd go to my uncle's place for killing a small pig and another time a lamb. I tell you the lamb was tough to watch but at the same time every part of the animal was always used and it was delicious.

All of us would get a kick out of watching our moms and nonas picking at the heads, it was a sight too see! They would argue which one of them would get to eat the head, I use to yell out KING OF THE CANNIBALS when the plate was in front of the winner.

I've been reading this thread very carefully and Bliss is just speaking her mind. If she has enough knowledge, is irrelevant but to start insulting a person that has her own opinion is not for you to judge. Your IQ is high, I can tell but your tolerance to others' opinions puts you back into the normal people category. She is just speaking her mind, right or wrong who cares. But there is not a need to insult a person's POV.

If you are sharp enough you will understand what I mean.

Mass: it isn't her POV that irks me, it is the inane analogies, the BS about her actually going hunting and actually slaughtering a pig....and her insensitivity to the sufferring that hunted animals are put through......

Now if Player came on here and said he actually slaughtered a pig? I'd tend to believe him....as another poster stated, it's not that simple, nor easy to do....

I'm sorry, but anyone who portrays themselves as such a victim, so hyper sensitive, just doesn't jive with the ability to slaughter animals with your bare hands (and a knife). I simply call bullshit when I hear it.

I'm going to a moose feast later today. I'm not a hunter but I have a family member who is. Every year after his hunting trips they put out a feast. I love it!
