Yes. disney has plans to have a Star Wars universe movie every year like Marvel. Han Solo, Boba Fett, Yoda, Ben Kenobi are possible spin offs.

I'm looking forward to this movie. It'd be nice to have a Star Wars movie where most if not all the main cast is supposed to die by the end. Plus, that shot at the end of the trailer, with the main character in the Imperial uniform and the line "What will you become?" hints at a possible connection to the original trilogy and Force Awakens. Anyone heard of Mara Jade? The Hand of the Emperor and future bride to Luke Skywalker?

I watched this over the holidays. I'm not the biggest Star wars geek out there but I thoroughly enjoyed Rogue One. It was the best SW movie ever. Completely self contained, great action, and a literal hand off to episode IV.

Agreed 100%. Best in the franchise. Late shows on weekdays are the best times to see this for me. 2x's so far.

Not going to say that it was the best SW movie but Rogue One was very well done and enjoyable. I have some pet peeves with the movie but no major criticisms.

I saw that the weekend it opened. I'd call it good not great. Some poor acting, lots of violence, not a drop of blood.
good cgi.
i thought it needed more story and less fighting.
but the tie in was good. Cleared up the timeline.

Blaster and light sabers instantly cauterize the wound any geek knows this...right my fellow geeks?

Yep that is a convenient way to make the SW movies kid friendly. However, this movie used a lot of explosives and grenades. Shrapnel doesn't cauterize wounds.

I loved the little details in this movie. Like now we know why the rebels only had 30 or so fighters to attack the Death Star in episode IV - cause they took heavy losses in this battle. Heck they lost the entire Blue team - which explains why they have no Blue team in any of the other movies. Plus, we got to see the unlucky dude who had the callsign Red 5 before Luke!

Darth Vader was awesome. Implacable and unstoppable.
