I dragged myself into the "sponge" thread on c-erb...omg...if I have to read one more post from RoamingGuy I am going to lose my lunch. Where I give up is when I am being called a mysoginist for wanting to know if a woman is on her period before an engagement...WTF...I know less of a prob for you massage guys...but for daty fans...looks like most women proudly (and secretly) work through it. A "trade secret" as Emily J puts it using sponges...I have always assumed that women would take those days off, I was horribly wrong. And asking for dislosure is tantamount to mysoginy...what next...jeez

That's why the red board is such a minefield. It's full of controlling SP's and their sucker-uppers. I'm glad I didn't get involved in that thread.

I once made the mistake of asking a woman if she was on her period. Not a new girl, someone who I had seen dozens of times before, good old Erica of Erica's Place. She hung up on me. I called her back and asked her to forgive me, that I had asked it entirely innocently, as I didn't want to bother her on a day she may be feeling under the weather. She said it was okay, but to never ask her that question ever again.

I have never asked that question ever again, however, I have asked some girls how long their periods usually last, but only in comparison to my wife's. They were happy to answer that question. Go figure! Or don't go figure, it's useless to figure out a woman, any woman.

So apparently my new "screening" question is not cool...it is not "are you on your period" but rather "do you work through your period, and if you do, do you disclose that fact to your clients" I guess some providers proudly state they do not work on those days (mostly on the t-erb thread). I guess as hobbyists (btw, I had always thought it was spelled hobbiest...) you need to just assume that all SP's are always on their period...ugh...

That said...now I need your advice...the thread took a turn yesterday when Anna Sweets posted details about private email communication from a client in that thread...that client was me. Notwithstanding the fact that she twisted the facts significantly (I never de facto implicated her because she thanked a post nor made any reference to her participation in the thread...that part of her post is a complete fabrication) how do you feel about private correspondence being so publicly aired, even with no names mentioned? Yes, I did ask her my question and her answer is in the thread. I also am considering creating a "what do you make of this" thread on t-erb (not mentioning her), but should I feel that my privacy has been violated? I am clearly not going to see her when she comes to town, but would you all be pissed off at this? Am I over-reacting?

You gotta assume that when private communications are aired, that it's always going to be slanted in the favour of whoever is airing it, afterall what advantage is there to airing the reasonable real version? If that were t+rb, you could somewhat present your side of the story, but even there there are limits. But since it's c+rb, they don't care about two-sides of the story, there is only one side and that's the SP's, if you "come out of the closet" then there's no way you're going to make it out of there without being kicked out. So I'd just keep my mouth shut, and fume under your collar.

This place on the other hand, seems to be much more easy going. Most of the threads aren't even about SP reviews or such. I can only recall one guy ever being kicked out of here, a guy named Tboy, but he was a genuine asshole, going around attacking everybody, SP's and clients alike. He and I have even gotten into a tussle a few times, all because he was very thin-skinned and couldn't even take the slightest reasonable suggestion without flying off into a rage.

I've followed this thread on the red board and was a bit disgusted to say the least !! I never even heard of 'sponges' before.... other than to was my car; my little sheltered world :wink2:. I guess this is a business and as such these little inconveniences on the part of the provider must be addressed so they don't impact the bottom line! wow!!!

Ryan, as Blackram said, just bite the bullet and forget about being quoted in a private message. Now if names were mentioned that would be a different story of course but as an anonymous quote, no harm done. Easy for me to say as it wasn't me that was quoted but I don't think I'd do any more than putting that provider on my 'black list'.

Blackram, I agree that this board seems to be more tolerant, than the other two but there is so little activity it's not even worth checking! Maybe if we 4 started posting in the Ottawa section we would start something that would make this board more competitive in Ottawa. ???? I find that a lot of out-of-towners seem to use this board, more so than locals.

The Ottawa section is pathetic here, I agree. But I've found that the general sections are a busy bee's nest of activity. Not really SP or massage related necessarily, but a lot of fun nonetheless. I check this place more often than I do my Facebook.

I wonder if we shouldn't invite members in general at the other boards to join here, even without giving them access to the DOB private board, initially? We'd still have to meet with them to give them access to the DOB.

As for inviting others to this board, I'd think that we have to start posting ourselves so that others will see that it's worthwhile. Once we get a number of posts for us then others would more likely be interested.

Well yes...that was the hardest part...but that band-aid has been ripped off...I told her politely I was not interesting in seeing her. Too bad...curvy milf with good reviews...you should go and see her Whiteman and give me a play by play...She's prolly too spendy for you at $260...

But no...once I convince myself I don't want to see them it does not matter how hot they are...I am able to resist, same happened with Charlotte Sinclair a year or so ago.
