You’d think it’d be common sense: If you see what looks like a makeshift race track, don’t walk on it, lest you be trampled by an airborne dirt bike.
Unfortunately, two girls in Saskatchewan learned that lesson out the hard way.
YouTube footage uploaded by dirt bike enthusiast Ryan Bacheldor, of Battleford, Sask., shows Bacheldor racing through a track and going airborne after ramping up a small hill.
But while he’s in the air two unsuspecting girls just happen to be walking on the track below. As you’d expect, disaster ensues, with the bike hitting one of the girls, Bacheldor’s friend, square in the face. The other managed to jump out of the way in time.
According to , the unlucky girl, Caitlyn Woloski, separated her collar bone and tore her ACL in the mishap. At the time, Woloski and her friend thought it was safe to be on the track based on Bacheldor’s last lap start time. Clearly, they were way off on their estimation.
