Can only be thumbs up for the parents. But not they are saying cancer can be cured :unknw:
Suffering from a brain tumour last year, Ashya King was taken by his parents from a British hospital without the consent of his doctors to receive an innovative proton-therapy treatment in Prague. His parents say he has made a miraculous recovery.
LONDON — The British parents who became fugitives after their critically ill son was refused a cancer treatment in the U.K. last year say he’s experienced a miracle recovery from his brain tumour.
Brett King told The Sun newspaper in an interview published Monday that the recovery of his 5-year-old son, Ashya, justifies the family’s decision to remove him from Southampton General Hospital to seek an innovative treatment abroad.
Their decision sparked an international manhunt, and resulted in the parents being briefly jailed.
Brett King says: “We have saved his life,” and would do it again if necessary. The child received proton therapy treatment in the Czech Republic.
The case touched off a sensation in Britain, with many, including Prime Minister David Cameron, moved by the parents’ desperation to save their child.
