But granted this was way over the line and uncalled for. Take her down and restrain in cuffs. I mean she still is going to get roughed up but not to this extent.

Looks to me as if he just snapped. Being a police officer in Detroit with all their cut backs and crime is most likely as frustrating as you can get. Combine that with someone who is untested and maybe a communicable disease carrier spitting and trying to bite you is just a combustible situation.

I will never be able to understand repeatedly hitting someone like that. I don't care how mad I get, I think I have "snapped" a few times in my life, but never like that. That was boxing, street fighting, HipHip Stars battles, whatever you want to call it. That was NOT police work at all.
