Quitting smoking

You would guess correct.

But seriously, that doesn't change a thing, my points are still valid......

Not to dissuade Madman or anything but there are benefits to smoking, and back in the 60's doctors used to prescribe them.

LMAO, yes because of large sums of money given to them from ciggie companies and most were "I'm not a doctor, but I play one in this ad".

Good Luck quitting MM!

actually, real doctors prescribed them for nausea.....I know, my mother was....(prescribed). Now this isn't to say that the hazards outweighed the benefits, but as with all "vices", one weighs the two and decides for themselves.

What makes me laugh is a member is posting that he is making a healthy change in his lifestyle and you are putting up an argument why he shouldn't.

1) We get more breaks than non-smokers (hehehehe)
2) It IS an appetitie supressant
3) It IS a stress reliever
4) There is nothing better than opening a fresh pack and lighting that first one, where the aroma of the fresh tobacco wafts up....
5) You do get a bit of a rush from the nicotine (even after smoking all these years I still get that after not having one for a couple of hours)

Stay smoke free MM. The best thing you can do for yourself. You can do it.

actually you're incorrect sir, I specifically stated in my opening line "not to dissuade..." in case you pulled a bliss and don't understand what dissuade means it is the opposite of persuade, in other words, not coerce or otherwise influence......my response was to auggie's post....

Point taken. But it is still odd to list the "goodness" smoking brings to life whilst someone is working through the process of quitting. Smoke on, draw long and hard tboy.

Stay strong MM.

I'm very happy for you Madman, you will feel so much better once you get over the anxiety of quitting, not too mention you will smell so much better too.
