I read this book to my son the other night it talks about the child and parent aging and continuing to love one another. My son was traumatized by the idea of himself and I aging. He was terrified of death and we spent the next hour trying to calm him.
I remember when my parents read it to me, tears came down but in an understanding way.
Then this morning on the way to daycare it was raining, I started to sing "It's raining it's pouring the old man is snoring. He bumped his head when he went to bed and couldn't wake up in the morning." After I sang it I realized how morbid that song actually was to my insecure child.
Boy I have tons to teach my son.
Anyone experienced anything similar to this?.
