Yes, there are a lot of reasons not to drink and drive. And texting can be just as bad. I've been rear ended by a kid texting.
My youngest daughter was killed, in the passenger seat, her asshole boyfriend was racing. 22 years old, her whole life ahead. And suddenly, she's gone.
I'd like to see more of those safe driving campaigns aimed at Anti Street Racing. Racing belongs on a track with proper safety equipment, not on our roads or highways.

So with all the impaired driving and the lack of BALLS by our judicial system we now look at the latest Group Street Racing
We have all heard about the motorcycles stunt driving on our roads last summer now we have high end penis extensions on the 400 HWY last weekend!
I may be wrong but I heard car impounded for 1 week. Possible max fine of $5K. Possible week in jail.
What is wrong with this picture??? Is this supposed to be a punishment or deterrent of some sort?
The penalty is just way out of line. 5k for an asshole stunt driving and risking people lives in a 200K plus car.
My vote is to take the vehicle and auction them off and donate 100% of proceeds to a charity
Sentence the driver to 1 year community service
Suspend his or her license for 5 years.
The above should e MINIMUM sentences not MAXIMUM
And before anyone jumps down my throat for this I love racing and fast cars!

For me, one joint makes me sleepy and in no condition to drive. One beer seems okay, but I'm not able to measure self impairment.
