Is this one soccer related?
Nah, it looks like a mob hit.

I dont think Toronto is becoming a dangerous shooting gallery, the Eaton Centre shooting and this one are just isolated events IMO

Were there any injured bystanders?

Professional.

LOL.....yup.

But if he fired from close range couldnt a bullet go right through someones head and possibly hit a bystander?? Hmmmmmm

Yes but if he uses as small caliber bullet then it's just rattle around inside the guy's head.

Wasn't a waiter or waitress injured with non life threatening injuries?

Yup:

Police were looking for a suspect after a fatal daylight shooting outside a gelato shop in Toronto's Little Italy neighborhood on Monday, where dozens of soccer fans had gathered to watch a European Championship game.Police said one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Toronto police Const. Wendy Drummond said reports of gunshots came in at about 3:30 p.m. local time Monday at the Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe.
Police are looking for a suspect. The shots rang out as soccer fans had gathered to watch Italy play Ireland in a game. Drummond urged the crowds of fans spilling out of the area cafes following the game to respect the crime scene.

Gunfire at a food court at Toronto's most prominent mall earlier this month left two dead and several bystanders shot and injured. Police have said the three men all belonged to the same gang, but believe the shooting was motivated by a personal dispute.
There have been 23 homicides this year in Canada's largest city, two less than last year at this point of the year

Where's GUIDO? Seriously, he said that he was going downtown to watch the game!

Hey what do you get when there's an international soccer match involving Italy and it's televised in lil' Italy? Double meatball shootings!

it depends on the calibre used....for example: a .22 long hollow point has been known to simply bounce off a human skull from about 15 feet away.....a .22 headshot would have to be up close and personal. I read about it in a novel where pros like to use .22s if they can get close because it'll go in, bounce around inside the skull and not come out.

A .32 would probably penetrate but still not come out the other side......

The first story i read on this suggested it was caused by a disagreement during the soccer match.......

I'm here and yes I was at a nearby cafe watching the game. I didn't hear anything or see anything except for a few people saying someone had been shot. I had parked my car on Montrose and walking back to the vehicle, yeah I was looking around. It is a creepy feeling knowing someone is running around with a gun and is willing to use it.

I think it was a mob hit. Victim had gang-ties, plus shooter fired 5 shots. That means he wanted to make very sure the victim was dead

could be Bs but I was told that the year has been labled "year of the gun II" and it has something to do with a bunch of formerly incarcerated people hitting the streets this year

It is cases like this that beg for the return of capital punishment.

And I don't give a rats ass if the victim was a former biker with organized crime ties.

This was a brazen out in the open hit.

Not only do we have someone who is dead but dozens of traumatized people who had to witness this cowardly act.

It's time for us to start speaking up and get the laws changed so we can make an example of these pukes.

I fear the wild wild west is just around the corner and we can no longer just hope these are ''isolated incidents''.

Who is with me?

I agree with you MB. This was obviously a mob related hit. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out what family/group was behind it, send in the swat teams and lay down the law with boots to asses!!

while i agree with you, that's a slippery slope to go down where you give the police too much power or authority to act. That's how dictatorships are formed.....Already the quebec government has started stepping on our right to assemble or protest......over in yahoo they are calling the students "losers" and the UN comment unfounded yet those making those comments don't realize really what's going on......the beginning of the removal of our rights.....
