BITI is labouring under the impression that when he creates a thread, only he can participate. Or, when he sets a rule, such as "everything ending with a question mark I solely get to answer", that we are bound to respect that rule. What BITI fails to understand, probably due to cranial incapacity, is that this is a public board (although owned by someone, of course). We don't have to follow BITI's desires or demands, nor are we bound by his rules. However, like a true enfant terrible, when you do not follow his rules, he becomes petulant and posts long ruminations that have little to do with anything, or makes idiotic demands of others, as he did in his Festivus thread.
I won't bore you with the clinical terms here, but this is classic delusional behaviour, where the subject tries to establish a set of rules that everyone must abide by or be considered outside the rules. This often manifests itself in unsocial (and often harmful) activities, including many reprehensible acts of violence towards others perceived as "not abiding by my rules and hence they are insignificant". In almost all these cases, medication can help, but it first requires an ackowledgment that there is a problem to be treated, and that's the rub.
BITI's long-winded posts on totally irrelevant and obscure subjects are his way of proving to everyone else here how smart he believes he is, and that he should get the attention and accolades he deserves as a consequence of his posts. Again, this is totally self-delusional and will manifest itself in temper tantrums and petulance. His comments about cricket are a good example. I was born in England and have played and followed cricket all my life. Bob has not, and hence has to look up the terms on the Internet, posting them here to show how smart we should all recognize him to be. As though many people here actually care about cricket.
Sorry for the long-winded answer (but only one tenth as long as a BITI post!), but as I have considerable experience dealing with individuals like BITI, I do feel obligated to point out to fellow HUBGFEites that this is a no-win situation. Bob won't stop till Bob gets what he wants.
