I'm wondering to buy a laptop, but I wouldn't like to spend too much $ on it right now. I mean it would be possible to buy a good one cheaper than CND$ 1.000? Or it would be better wait for awhile and invest in a more expensive? I would appreciate suggestions as well as what would be the better choice (better laptop on this range in price). Thanks in advance for any info.

Bought my daughter a LENOVO for Christmas

Got me one the other day and like better than others I have owned.

Paid about 600 usd at BEST BUY for INTERL CORE i5 and windows 7

Wilson, pap'sf is right. There is too much competition for your money. Do not spend more that 8 bills on a new laptop including tax and make sure all the goodies are included. Don't pay for any extras.

I had some great deals on used laptops that were only 6 months old. Check on line for value.

I bought my 17" Dell on line with for $699 plus taxes. Came with all the goodies. Try them up.

Thanks guys for your suggestions, I've appreciated it. Between Lenovo and Bell which would be the better choice? And other brands like Asus, HP, Toshiba...could you guys compare them? I mean are they as good as Lenovo & Dell?

the LENOVO is an what was once the IBM
Now it is priced to sell

Wilson, I too am in the market for a Laptop as well and have decided to wait until late summer for the back-to-school specials.

They've got a kickass powerhouse of a laptop on this week. More than the OP wanted to spend but damn, i7 quad core that is a great multi media gaming machine....

Same laptop just a little farther down on odd's link.....a really powerful machine though.....

The OS on that is worth $100 so the real price of the laptop is only $249.00 a pretty fricken good deal......17.3" screen too......processor is a tad slow, but for most users who aren't gaming or doing video editing, it is more than powerful enough......
