Ok, anyone know a good Thai place in Ottawa?

Violet will not be doing an overnight in Kingston so I am taking 1/2 day Weds afternoon to see her and offered to take her to dinner. She requested Thai food and only Thai place I've been (besides Thai Express) was on Bank St called Secret Garden or something. It was a vegetarian place some Kosher friends took us to, it was very good. But it doesn't seem to be there anymore :( It's also not nearby her hotel.

Green Papaya on Preston claims to be Ottawa's most popular Thai restaurant and it is not far from where Violet is staying at Best Western on Carling. That is a plus for sure, so any other suggestions for Thai near the Best Western? Anyone been to Green Papaya and can report on the experience?

Any other ideas please shoot them my way. Thanks in advance you horndogs! Whoever has the winning info will get to sniff my car seat that Violet sits on! :good:

There is also a Green Papaya on Baseline, near Clyde, up near the Walmart. I think this one maybe even closer than the one on Preston for you. As for how good it is? One time it was excellent, but another time it was terrible. So I think it maybe a bit inconsistent from time to time. Interestingly, up near this place, there is also a Thai Express on the other side of the road. And slightly up Clyde, there is a place called Asian Stars, which is an Asian fusion place, right next to the Denny's. I've always liked Thai Express, but obviously it's not a place to take a date to. Asian Stars, I've never tried though, but I've been meaning to. Across the street from Green Papaya is Baidu, which is another Asian fusion place, which I have never tried either. This also happens to be right next to Nice Ones Nails, where I think some of you have had a little bit of fun! ;-)

I took Shanghai May to Baidu when it first opened, it was good but overrated. Someone told May it was the place to go, it is trendy. I was hoping to fuck her in the bathroom but it didn't happen.

I forgot I went to Aiyara on Walkley Rd for lunch once, it was very good. It is the highest rated Thai on Zoomato and only 15-20 minutes from her BW. They make those neat flowers out of radishes and veggies. I may have found my winner. As long as Violet has enough time ......

Speaking of May, she contacted me last week, she may be coming out of retirement briefly. She was planning on coming to Ottawa and I told her I was working in Kingston. She then said her friends in Montreal tell her Kingston is a good place so maybe she will come there. May says she is single again and "needs money for my family". In the past she has told me how much she sends bank to China, amazing. Other asians have told me similar. May has been manager at an AMP in Montreal since @ 2012. When I worked in Montreal area in 2013 I saw her at her apartment. Guess she wasn't single then LOL.

When it rains it pours, not enough slurp or cash to go around *sigh*
